Ca Atra 10 MG Capsule contains All-Trans Retinoic Acid (ATRA) 10mg, a form of Vitamin A essential in the induction treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), where it promotes differentiation of malignant promyelocytes into mature white blood cells.

How It Works: ATRA binds to retinoic acid receptors (RARα), reversing the differentiation block caused by the PML-RARα fusion protein in APL, inducing maturation of leukemic promyelocytes and reducing blast cell counts.

Common Uses: Induction therapy for acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL/AML-M3) — typically combined with arsenic trioxide or chemotherapy. Part of standard curative protocols for APL.

Administration: Take orally with food twice daily as directed. Blood counts and liver function tests must be monitored closely during ATRA therapy. Watch for retinoic acid syndrome (differentiation syndrome) symptoms.
