Doxycycline 100mg Tablet contains Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg, a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infections, malaria prophylaxis, and certain parasitic infections including those caused by rickettsiae and Chlamydia.

How It Works: Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, blocking aminoacyl-tRNA attachment and preventing peptide chain elongation in susceptible bacteria and intracellular parasites.

Common Uses: Malaria prophylaxis and treatment (with other agents), respiratory tract infections, STIs (chlamydia, gonorrhea), Lyme disease, rickettsial infections, typhus, and as an adjunct in certain helminth infections.

Administration: Take with a full glass of water, with food or milk to reduce esophageal irritation. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking. Avoid taking with antacids, dairy, or iron supplements.

Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place away from light. Keep in original packaging out of children's reach.
