Flagyl 200mg Tablet contains Metronidazole 200mg, a lower-dose nitroimidazole antimicrobial used in the treatment of protozoal infections, anaerobic bacterial infections, and as an adjunct in H. pylori eradication.

How It Works: Metronidazole undergoes intracellular reduction to a reactive intermediate that causes DNA strand breaks in anaerobic organisms, selectively killing bacteria and protozoa that lack oxygen-dependent repair mechanisms.

Common Uses: Amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis (lower doses for mild cases), bacterial vaginosis, anaerobic infections, and pediatric or dose-adjusted metronidazole therapy.

Administration: Take with food to reduce nausea. Alcohol is strictly contraindicated during and for 48 hours after treatment. Complete the full prescribed course without interruption.
