This dose is clinically indicated for uncomplicated bacterial infections where a full 500mg dose is not required, offering targeted antibacterial action with a favorable tolerability profile.

How It Works: Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes critical to bacterial DNA coiling and replication. By disrupting these processes, Ciprofloxacin prevents bacteria from reproducing and triggers rapid bacterial cell death at the site of infection.

Common Uses: Floxip 250 is prescribed for uncomplicated urinary tract infections (cystitis), mild lower respiratory tract infections, mild skin and soft tissue infections, and uncomplicated sexually transmitted infections caused by susceptible bacterial organisms.

Administration: Floxip 250 is generally administered twice daily. Drink adequate water throughout treatment. Avoid dairy products, antacids, and iron supplements within 2 hours of taking the tablet. Always complete the full prescribed course.
