Flucos 150 Tablet contains Fluconazole 150mg, a potent triazole antifungal agent. It is primarily prescribed for treating vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection) and other fungal conditions, offering the convenience of single-dose or short-course therapy under medical supervision.

How It Works: Fluconazole inhibits the fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase, which is essential for ergosterol biosynthesis. Without ergosterol, the fungal cell membrane becomes disrupted, leading to inhibition of fungal growth and clearance of infection.

Common Uses: Flucos 150 is indicated for vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis), oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis, and prevention of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients as directed by a physician.

Administration: For uncomplicated vaginal candidiasis, a single 150mg dose is typically prescribed. For other fungal conditions, your doctor will recommend the appropriate schedule. Take with or without food as directed by your healthcare provider.
