HCQS 400 Tablet contains Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate 400mg, a higher-dose formulation of this antimalarial and immunomodulatory DMARD used in the treatment of malaria and autoimmune conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

How It Works: Hydroxychloroquine disrupts lysosomal acidification in both malarial parasites and immune cells, interfering with haem polymerization in plasmodia and suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokine production in autoimmune conditions.

Common Uses: Acute malaria treatment (with other agents), malaria prophylaxis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), discoid lupus, and Sjögren's syndrome.

Administration: Take with food or milk to minimize gastrointestinal side effects. Dosing frequency and duration vary by indication. Regular eye examinations are recommended for patients on long-term therapy.
