How It Works: Temozolomide is a prodrug that converts to the active alkylating agent MTIC, causing DNA methylation and inducing cell death in tumor cells, particularly those with deficient MGMT repair pathways.

Common Uses: Glioblastoma multiforme (concurrent with radiation and adjuvant phases), recurrent anaplastic astrocytoma, and combination regimens for other CNS tumors.
