Xovoltib 40 MG Tablet contains Afatinib Dimaleate 40mg, a second-generation irreversible ErbB family blocker approved as first-line treatment for EGFR mutation-positive non-small cell lung cancer.

How It Works: Afatinib covalently and irreversibly blocks all ErbB family receptors (EGFR/HER1, HER2, HER4), providing more comprehensive inhibition than first-generation reversible EGFR inhibitors.

Common Uses: EGFR exon 19 deletions or exon 21 (L858R) mutation-positive metastatic NSCLC as first-line treatment; squamous cell carcinoma of the lung after platinum chemotherapy.

Administration: Take once daily at least one hour before or three hours after eating. Swallow whole with water at the same time each day.
