How It Works: Albendazole inhibits helminth-specific tubulin polymerization and disrupts glucose uptake by the parasite, causing energy depletion, cytoskeletal collapse, immobilization, and death of susceptible worms and larvae.

Common Uses: Ascariasis, hookworm, whipworm, pinworm, hydatid cysts (echinococcosis), neurocysticercosis, toxocariasis, and lymphatic filariasis (in combination protocols).
